The Roofing Process

From the day the storm hits to the day your final check clears — here's exactly what working with Hilltop looks like. 10 clear steps. No surprises.

1

Storm Hits Your Area

After a storm, it's important to determine if your roof has sustained any damage. Even damage that isn't visible from the ground can lead to leaks and denied insurance claims if not documented quickly.

2

Expert Inspection

Our team performs a full inspection and documents visible and hidden damage. We photograph every impact point and compromised area — giving you and your carrier an accurate picture of the full scope.

3

Proposal Review

We prepare a proposal and walk you through what needs to be done and why. No jargon, no pressure — just a clear explanation of the damage, scope, and your material options.

4

Start the Claim

We submit the proposal to your insurance and work with the adjuster. Our team attends the inspection, documents missed items, and submits supplement requests when the scope comes back short.

5

Schedule Your Build

We organize material delivery and lock in your build date. Once your claim is approved, we handle all the logistics so everything is ready to go on installation day.

6

Build Day

Most asphalt roofs are completed in a single day by our expert crews. We protect your landscaping, haul away all old materials, and install to manufacturer specifications.

7

Depreciation Released

Final insurance funds are typically released 7–10 days after completion. Once your carrier confirms the work is done, they release the remaining depreciation holdback.

8

Quality Check

We perform a final walkthrough to ensure you're 100% satisfied. A Hilltop team member walks the entire project with you — any punch-list items are resolved on the spot.

9

Final Payment

We coordinate final payment with your insurance and mortgage. If your mortgage company is on your check, we handle the paperwork — a step many contractors leave for you to figure out alone.

10

Spread the Word

Most of our business comes from happy customers and referrals. If we've done our job right, we'll ask you to share your experience. A quick Google review means a lot to a local company like ours.
